Our annual golf day, held at Bovey Castle on Thursday 28th June, raised a fantastic £3,000 for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).
The day, organised in association with Exeter City FC, saw 28 teams made up of suppliers, customers and staff take part in the four-ball competition. A team representing our Hatherleigh branch and featuring Exeter City striker Matt Jay won the event and were awarded the Andy Shinner Memorial Trophy.
Following the golf, players enjoyed a sit-down meal and Naomi Dymond from CHSW explained how the money raised during the day will be used.
Kevin Fenlon, CEO at RGB Building Supplies, commented: "It was a fantastic day and congratulations to the winning Hatherleigh team. A huge thank you to all our suppliers, customers, RGB staff and everyone associated with Exeter City FC for their generosity. We're sure the money raised will go a long way to helping Children's Hospice South West continue its fantastic work."
CHSW is our chosen charity and this was just one of the many fundraising activities we're organising this year. The money raised will help the charity continue to provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.
