We're delighted to launch The Big RGB Christmas Appeal in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust and Devon Air Ambulance Trust, and we're inviting customers and communities to donate good quality preloved items to the drop-off points in our branches. The items will go on to be sold in the charities' shops and help them continue to save hundreds of lives across the region.
The Big RGB Christmas Appeal was officially launched on Monday 25th November when RGB mascot Archie Bee donated the first items. Donations of clothing, shoes, books, DVDs and Blu Rays, toys, accessories, jewellery and homewares can be left at RGB's drop-off points until Friday 13th December.
Stephanie Bray, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, commented:
"We're thrilled to have the support of RGB Building Supplies this year, and their Christmas appeal is a unique way to make a big impact while having a good clear out. The Cornwall Air Ambulance shops are a vital source of income for the charity, raising over £730,000 last year, and this is only possible because of the donations of high-quality items the shops receive. Good Luck to RGB and their fabulous Christmas appeal."
Tracy Owen, Fundraising Manager at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, added:
"We would like to thank RGB Building Supplies and their fantastic staff for their continued support of Devon's Air Ambulances. It really does mean a lot to us and our patients. Thanks to them we can be there for families like Verity's, whose two-year-old son Joseph needed us when he became unwell earlier this year. Verity told us 'Christmas this year could have been so different for our family if the Air Ambulance hadn't been able to bring vital help to our home in time.'"
It's extremely simple to donate, just fill a bag with good quality items that are no longer needed and place it in our drop-off points next to the Christmas trees. In advance, we'd like to thank our generous customers and local communities for their donations.
