Our Porthleven branch is inviting local trades and the community to join them for a special fundraising event on Wednesday 4th October in support of staff member Ross Atkinson. Ross is set to run the London Marathon in April 2024 in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.
From 8am, the Porthleven branch will be hosting a raffle with prizes. In addition, visitors can enjoy sausage and bacon rolls and homemade cakes, while stocks last and in return for a donation to Ross's fundraising efforts.
Children’s Hospice South West provides essential care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. They offer respite, end-of-life care, and a safe haven where families can create lasting memories together.
Ross Atkinson, who works as a counter sales representative at RGB in Porthleven, commented:
"This is the first marathon I have taken part in, and I’ve been training hard since August. In advance, I’d like to thank everyone who visits the RGB branch during the fundraising event and helps me raise money for a fantastic charity that provides vital support to families across our region.”
Donations for Ross Atkinson's fundraising campaign can be made by visiting his Just Giving page - https://bit.ly/3ZtiTi0.
The fundraising event takes place on Wednesday 4th October from 8am at our Porthleven branch, which is located in Methleigh Bottoms.
