Tudor Court Care Home in Paignton has been voted as the latest winner of our Well Built Community Fund and now has £1,000 to spend on building materials.
Tudor Court received the most votes following a public poll where the care home was up against Okehampton Men in Sheds and Trevern Care Home in Falmouth.
Having cared for the elderly since 1946, Tudor Court recognises that being outside can be extremely beneficial to its residents and will be using the Community Fund donation to ensure its garden is dementia friendly and easy to access.
Shabnam Nazir, Care Home Manager at Tudor Court, commented: "Being able to transform our garden will make such a difference to our residents, so thank you to everyone who voted for us, and to RGB for their donation."
Steve Spear, Sales Representative at RGB Torquay, recently visited Tudor Court to learn more about the project. He added: "The aim of our Well Built Community Fund is to give local groups and charities the chance to complete projects they wouldn't otherwise be able to do, and I was delighted to visit Tudor Court to see how the donation of materials will be used; I wish them every success with the project and I look forward to returning to see the transformation."
