Our Penzance branch recently donated fence panels and posts to St Hilary School to help it transform a much-loved outdoor area.
The donation was used to renovate ‘Ellie’s Garden of Thought’, a place where children can sit and enjoy the outside, have a moment of reflection, or chat with friends. The area had been open on three sides, but the fencing means the garden is now more secluded.
Rob Hamshar, Headteacher at St Hilary School, commented:
“The school is extremely grateful for the donated materials that have enabled us to refresh Ellie’s Garden of Thought. This is a really important part of our school and much loved by the children. It serves as a quiet area for the children to sit and chat or just enjoy the quiet. The work and generosity of Kay, one of our amazing teaching assistants, her husband Carl who helped to install the fencing, and RGB Building Supplies is hugely appreciated and has made a real impact to the quality of the children’s outdoor space. Thank you from everyone at St Hilary School – keep up the great community work!”
Richard Jayne, Branch Manager at RGB Penzance, added:
“We are committed to doing what we can to support our community and we were delighted to donate materials to St Hilary School for their Ellie’s Garden of Thought project. It’s looks fantastic and I’m sure it will be enjoyed by the children.”
