Our Holsworthy branch is thanking customers and the local community for generously donating to its Christmas present appeal in aid of Children's Hospice South West.
Thanks to the incredible support, the branch has a sleigh full of gifts ready to be handed over to the charity for distribution to children and their families during the festive period.
Children’s Hospice South West, RGB’s chosen charity, provides vital care and support for children with life-limiting conditions. The charity operates three hospices across the South West, offering respite and end-of-life care, as well as a range of practical and emotional support services.
Tony Curtis, branch manager of Holsworthy, commented:
“We are genuinely touched by the overwhelming response from our community. The level of generosity displayed in support of Children’s Hospice South West is heartwarming and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed a gift.”
Throughout 2023, RGB has engaged in a range of fundraising activities for the hospice and has raised in excess of £3,000.
To boost the fundraising, the Holsworthy branch took part in a festive jumper day on Monday 18th December. A swear box was also introduced at the beginning of the month and the team has been encouraging customers and staff to donate when bad language is used, giving everyone the unique opportunity to swear for a good cause. The light-hearted initiative not only raised funds but also added an element of fun to the fundraising drive.
RGB is committed to continuing its support for Children’s Hospice South West in 2024 and has further fundraising initiatives planned.
