We've chosen two members of staff to take to the sky for tandem skydives in aid of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation.
Kevin Furse, a Sales Assistant at our South Molton branch, and Jacob Jordan, an IT Support Technician at our Head Office in Barnstaple, were chosen following a call out inviting daredevil team members to put themselves forward. Both will complete the challenge at Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton in June and will leap from the plane with an experienced instructor at 15,000 ft.
As a member of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation's Foundation XV programme, we've pledged to raise £1,500 during the year. The money raised by Kevin and Jacob will contribute to the total. The foundation supports charities and organisations across the region and, since its launch in 2011, has raised in excess of £1m and helped over 80 projects.
Kevin commented:
"We're both really pleased to have been chosen, as neither of us have done a skydive before, but it's something we've both always wanted to do. It's one of the things on my bucket list, so I'm raring to go!"
Jacob added:
"It's difficult to imagine being 15,000 ft above the ground, but I'm thoroughly excited. The Exeter Chiefs Foundation is a fantastic cause that really helps a wide range of organisations across the county, so we're delighted to be fundraising for them. In advance, Kevin and I would like to thank everyone that supports us by making a donation."
Visitors to our South Molton branch are able to support Kevin by making a donation in the branch, whereas donations can be made for Jacob via his Just Giving page - https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/jacob-jordan-rgb.
