Youth Group Category

"At Wings we work hard to develop positive relationships with young people to help them feel accepted for who they are and develop their confidence and self-esteem. This enables them to take the appropriate next steps, whether that be applying for a job, going to college, or learning new skills to make them more employable. We want to expand our woodwork area with additional tools and materials so that more young people can begin to learn a trade, and the £1,000 to spend at RGB enables us to do this. A big thank you to RGB for choosing to help us, it is greatly appreciated."

Cullompton Wildlife Care Centre

"We are completely self-funded so it can be difficult to upgrade and replace outdated facilities as all our funds are used on the day-to-day care needs of the wildlife we look after. Therefore, the Community Fund grant from RGB Building Supplies is extremely gratefully received and will enable us to create a much-needed new aviary. Thank you so much."

Homeless Charity Category

"Our three main areas of focus are around healthy eating, physical activity and mental well-being. We have already created a training kitchen and small IT suite in our residents' lounge and the £1,000 Well Built Community Fund grant will enable us to purchase the materials to turn a summer house into a small gym in our courtyard. Residents will use the gym to help with their fitness and overall health, and we would like to say a big thank you to RGB Building Supplies."

"We knew that part of the floor needed replacing, but we didn't realise how bad it was until we took it all up. The donation enabled us to replace the whole of the floor in the main hall, the entrance lobby and gents changing rooms. The main hall alone measures 15m x 9m, so it was a big job. The new floor has made a massive difference and means the centre can continue to provide martial arts training. A huge thank you to RGB for choosing us as Community Fund beneficiaries and J&R Harvey Builders & Decorators for carrying out the work; we're extremely happy with the quality of the workmanship."

"It's wonderful to see the therapeutic effect that our horses have on the physical and mental health of our riders and support from local companies like RGB Building Supplies really helps us continue providing the service we do. "I formed the 'Old Gits Club' about a year ago as many retired folk are finding that they have time on their hands and some have lost many of their friends since leaving work. The club has given members a social activity and the chance of meeting new friends and, by making our area look more appealing, also gives them a sense of achievement. We would like to thank RGB Building Supplies for supporting us, it will make a real difference."
